In 1983, family Matriarch and company president, Betty Rampey, opened the first Magnolia Estates retirement facility in Elberton, Georgia, with only fourteen beds. Housed in a beautifully crafted home, built in the early 1900s, and was once the W.O. Jones estate, that facility has undergone several expansions and is now a 52 bed independent living and personal care retirement home.
Magnolia Estates then expanded to Winder, Georgia with a 47-bed facility run by Denny and Denise Rampey and their children, Rachel and Drew. The Rampey’s Winder location also offers independent living alongside personal care.
Magnolia Estates of Oconee Retirement Community was opened in 1997 by Tim and Ann Rampey Saxon, and their daughter, Kathryn. Their 48 bed personal care facility has been a labor of love and a welcome addition to the Magnolia Estates family.
